The Iraqi army, backed by the popular committees, started an extensive campaign against ISIL terrorist group in the county of Balad in Salahuddine province, according to Iraqi media reports.
After liberating al-Moatasem district and expelling ISIL militants from its territories, the Iraqi army secured completely the area of Samara, according to the same reports.
